This is a perfect holiday quick and easy recipe to have on hand for unexpected guests….if you can keep from eating every batch of these yummy baked treats yourself!   Pioneer Woman Apple Dumplings are ‘infused with Mountain Dew, but we substituted healthy Cinnamon Plum herbal infusion for the soda and it is delicious, and less calories!

The prep time is so simple and the dumplings come out golden brown with just enough apple.  You’ll make these again and again!

”TEA’-INFUSED APPLE DUMPLINGS

NOTE: Double all ingredients if using a 9 x 13 pan for double batch.

Ingredients:

1 pkg of 8 crescent rolls

1 Granny Smith apple cut in 8 even slices

1/2 cup melted butter

6 oz. sugar

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

6 oz. infusion of Cinnamon Plum or Fruit ‘N Spices (steep 1 TBS in 6 oz. water for 4 min.) Both are available on our website here: http://bit.ly/2xhV0yk

Preparation:

Roll apple slices in crescent rolls to form ‘dumplings’ and place in buttered/oiled loaf pan. Add sugar to melted butter and just stir through Add vanilla and stir well Pour butter mixture over dumplings and cover evenly with spoon or knife Pour infusion of ‘tea’ (herbal infusion) around edges of pan Put in 350F oven for 40 minutes. Remove, cool and serve with ice cream or whipped cream.   ENJOY!
